Code of Ethics


Present document indicates the code of conduct for Students, Faculty and Supporting staff at Government College of Pharmacy, Amravati. All the staff members and students are required to follow Code of Ethics and confirm the adherence to it.

Code of Ethics for students

As a student at Government College of Pharmacy, Amravati, you are expected to

  • ** Engage yourself in appropriate classroom and laboratory conduct
  • ** Understand and avoid misconduct and scholastic dishonesty
  • ** Understand the importance of confidentiality
  • ** Follow the instructions for each assignment and examinations
  • ** Refrain from committing any acts misconduct, misbehavior scholastic dishonesty
  • ** Avoid cheating, plagiarism, falsifying academic records, and any act that can provide unfair academic advantage to the student
  • ** Avoid discussion during examinations
  • ** Comply with instructions given by the teacher or administration officials test
  • ** Avoid copying during examinations and assignments
  • ** Avoid falsifying data, laboratory reports, and/or other academic work offered
  • ** Avoid to take, keep, misplace, or damage the property of institute
  • ** Misrepresent the facts for the purpose of obtaining an academic benefit
  • ** Avoid possession and the use of mobile phone during examinations and classrooms, laboratory and premises of the institute without permission.

Acts or Forms of Misconduct

Following Acts by the students shall be considered as misconduct and shall be liable for disciplinary action

  • ** Gender-, caste-, race-, religion-, color-, region-, language- or disability- based discrimination.
  • ** Intentionally damaging or destroying Institute property
  • ** Disruptive activity in class room or institute events
  • ** Indulge in activities like organizing meetings without permission from the Institute, unauthorizedpossession or use of fireworks, weapon, explosives etc., unauthorized custody or use of banned drugs or harmful chemicals, or smoking or use of tobacco as well as alcohol consuming of alcohol in the campus, parking vehicle outside parking area, unauthorized access to resources, misbehavior during institutional activities, Engage in indecent conduct creating unreasonable noise
  • ** Use of mobile phones in class rooms, laboratories and college building without prior permission.
  • ** Derogatory comments on the social media about Institute and individuals from institute
  • ** Theft or abuse or damage or destruction of the institute property
  • ** Indulge in any form of harassment or ragging

Breach of code of conduct

In case of a student found indulge in any of the activity considered as misconduct with possible breach of code of conduct, accordingly Students Redressal Grievances Committee or Anti Ragging Committee shall recommend disciplinary action. Based on the nature of the misconduct committee may suggest any of the following disciplinary actions.

  • ** Restrictions
  • ** MonetaryPenalty in the form of scholarship or fellowship suspension
  • ** Suspension for a specified period of time from student related activities, classes, programs etc.
  • ** Expulsion

At Government College of Pharmacy, Amravati it is anticipated that you should develop a sense of loyalty and duty to the profession, foster professional competency through life-long learning, support colleagues, incorporate dedication to excellence, reconsider personal and professional values and maintain the highest ideals and professional attributes. In addition, you are expected to

  • ** Design examinations to restrict or reduce the chances of scholastic fraudulence
  • ** Evaluate assignments with reasonable expectations
  • ** Enforce and implement the rules governing academic fraudulence actively and consistently
  • ** Be familiar with the academic dishonesty policy
  • ** Take appropriate action against scholastic dishonesty
  • ** Promote a classroom environment conducive to learning
  • ** Respect the formal relationship,
  • ** Promote the good of everyone in compassionate and confidential manner
